Windjammer for Woodwind Quintet - Score and Parts

Written for the New Mexico Winds, this quintet is a spiritually uplifting composition animated by the unique instrumental colors of the wind quintet, dialogue among the instruments, and rhythmic energy. The inspiration for the piece springs from two sources: the syncopated, improvisatory aura of jazz, and water imagery suggesting the light and movement of the sea. It includes tonal/modal passages and sections employing the diminished (half-step/whole-step) scale.
